Based in Edinburgh Parks, you will join a team of hard-working team players.

You will consider plant and labour utilisation whilst ensuring the Labour is in line with the operational requirements. You will work closely with Production teams who are passionate about improving efficiencies and delivering the highest quality product to our customers.

This hands-on role offers day shifts Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Workforce Planning & Analytics:

  • Establish key relationships and work with the leadership team, understanding key activities and translate them into workforce requirements and required resourcing forecasts
  • Manage, generate and publish daily and weekly rosters based on production schedules
  • Labour data analysis, e.g. OT patterns, crewing needs, absence patterns etc. to optimise labour costs
  • Oversee the 'Leave Plans' and organise leave coverage
  • Organise and target recruitment within the site to ensure the availability of appropriate resources at all times
  • Liaise with Inghams the Human Resources Team on all recruitment requirements for the Edinburgh Parks site
  • Liaise with national payroll teams and sites operational leaders on payroll issues
  • Report weekly to the management team on Key Metrics for workforce planning
  • Designing comprehensive, data driven approaches to managing workforce capability and capacity
  • Be the key point of contact for external training companies

Training & Development:

  • Deliver high-quality training to new & existing staff
  • Provide training & development and manage the training matrix
  • Support learners through active participation
  • Induction and New Starter Training
  • Overcome learning barriers and adapt training to meet learner's needs
  • Create an engaging and memorable learning experience
  • Identify areas for improving individual and team performance
  • SWP/ SOP Training

Process Improvement:

  • Apply excellent problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to make recommendations and deliver efficiencies and cost savings
  • Drive the continual improvement of both processes and people
  • Experience driving positive cultural change

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Experience in food manufacturing and/or FMCG industry will be highly regarded
  • Computer literate and comfortable using the MS suite
  • Proven communication skills across multiple and diverse groups
  • A desire to build team capability through training and transfer of knowledge
  • "Can do" attitude
  • Ability to tackle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management, organisational skills whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex information, in a structured way cross functionally
