About the role

Gareth Keenan Catering is seeking an experienced Catering Chef Off Site Catering to join our team in Ashmore. This is a casual position, offering the flexibility to work on an as-needed basis for our off-site catering events.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality, innovative dishes for corporate and private events
  • Be able to run an event i.e wedding, with help, but you would be in charge of the event, set up, serve, pack down.
  • Have a valid Australian driver license and be able to drive Ford Transit van
  • Be able to help loading van for catering jobs.
  • Working closely with the catering team to ensure seamless event execution
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
  • Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Contributing ideas and suggestions to enhance our catering offerings

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef, preferably in an off-site catering or event-based role
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing requirements
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends as required
