About the role

Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Hand and Catering Assistant to join our professional team.

This is a hands-on, varied position supporting both the kitchen and catering operations. You will assist with general cleaning and kitchen maintenance, washing up, stock handling, and supporting chefs with mise-en-place set up and breakdown. In addition, you will play an important role in catering support, including:

  • Sandwich making and basic food preparation
  • Assisting with event and function set-up and pack down
  • Providing general kitchen and catering support to ensure smooth service delivery

You will be an all-rounder who takes pride in your work, can be trusted to complete tasks unsupervised, and contributes positively to a team environment.

Hours and days

We are looking for a casual kitchen hand to support our kitchen team with full availably seven days a week (including public holidays and evenings).

You will have

  • A can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable with some heavy lifting
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Above all, a great personality with a can-do attitude
  • Previous food preparation experience (sandwich making, salads, plating)
  • Current, valid Queensland driver's licence
