Our Shoalhaven Starches site at Bomaderry on the south coast of NSW is the largest wheat starch and gluten plant of its kind in the world and operates in conjunction with our world-first ethanol distillery, to extract value-added products from 100 per cent of the wheat grain using the most advanced industry technology available.

An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our busy Quality Control Laboratory on a casual basis. The position offers a great opportunity to build on your skillset and experience working with quality control processes in a state-of-the-art facility. This role will involve shift work and will require the successful candidate to be available to provide shift coverage as required.

Duties will include:

· Testing, recording and reporting of sample results taken during manufacture

· Calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments

· Perform visual, chemical and physical laboratory testing adhering to Standard Operating Procedures

· General housekeeping, production sample management, stocking of consumables and preparations of solutions

About you:

· Safety conscious

· Qualification in Chemistry, Science or related degree OR significant experience in a busy laboratory

· Ability to work independently and able to follow instructions

· Excellent work ethic with good people skills

· Computer literate with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of programs

· Working knowledge of WHS, QA and HACCP standards (desirable)
