About Us
Immutable is a global technology company, powering the leading platform for building games on Ethereum. We are on a mission to build the future of gaming by redefining how games are played and discovered. Founded in 2018, Immutable is one of the fastest Australian companies to hit unicorn status, having raised more than AUD $300M+ and a valuation of AUD $3.5 billion.
Currently, the Immutable Group consists of the Immutable Platform, the leading platform for building games on Ethereum powering successful games like RavenQuest and Immortal Rising 2, and Immutable Games, a global leader in web3 game development and publishing with leading titles Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians.
Our ambition is to make digital worlds real; we have incredible global growth plans as the fastest growing gaming chain in 2024 with 250+ games signed, more than in all previous years combined.
About The Role
Immutable is growing fast across new revenue streams, entities, and product lines. We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance.
The Head of Finance is the right-hand and trusted partner to the SVP Finance (the most senior finance leader at Immutable), taking comprehensive ownership of all operational finance functions and playing a crucial role in building a world-class finance team.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an individual passionate about driving efficiency, implementing scalable structures, and leveraging technology to support our ambitious growth trajectory, while also empowering and mentoring our existing talent.
We are looking for a qualified finance leader with a proven track record in high-growth environments, adept at establishing necessary guardrails while fostering agile growth.
You'll Be Empowered To
- Partner with key business stakeholders to represent finance during the design and iteration of new products, partnerships, and revenue streams
- Translate commercial and product strategies into measurable financial outcomes, shaping investment decisions and guiding resource allocation across emerging initiatives
- Lead all aspects of group financial reporting under IFRS, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end consolidation and close across multiple entities
- Manage all group tax obligations and compliance filings (GST, FBT, PAYG, R&D, international tax)
- Oversee and maintain the group's financial systems, including NetSuite and billing systems, ensuring accurate configuration, data integrity, and reporting
- Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and risk frameworks
- Operate and enhance the group's treasury program (US$100million+)
- Drive improvements in reporting cadence, close timelines, and data quality through process design and tooling
- Lead, manage, and develop a lean, high-performing team across controllership, treasury, and digital asset operations, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional growth
We'd Love You To Bring
- CA, CPA or ACCA qualification
- 5+ years in senior finance roles with experience owning group reporting, audits, and tax compliance
- Strong IFRS knowledge and hands-on experience preparing consolidated financials
- Proven ability to manage external audits and multi-entity statutory reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and solid Excel skills
- Track record of improving finance operations through tooling or automation
- Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments such as startups, scaleups or product-led tech companies
- Prior exposure to top-tier consulting or professional services
- A player-coach mindset – equally confident leading a team and diving into detail
Bonus Points For
- Exposure to Web3, crypto or digital asset operations
- Experience managing billing systems and supporting B2B revenue models
