Machine Operator – Reinforcement Steel | Sunshine North

Our client, a leader in steel processing and fabrication, is actively seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join their high-performing team in Sunshine North, VIC. This is your opportunity to work with a reputable company offering competitive hourly rates and a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

�� Pay Rates:

  • Day Shift (6:00am – 2:30pm): $39.33/hr
  • Afternoon Shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm): $47.03/hr

�� Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain machinery used in the bending and cutting of reinforcement steel bars
  • Use Overhead Cranes and Gantry Cranes safely and efficiently
  • Set up machines according to production specifications
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and output targets are met
  • Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
  • Work as part of a cohesive production team

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven experience in machine operation within the steel or manufacturing industry, especially reinforcement bar processing
  • Skilled in the use of Overhead and Gantry Cranes
  • Knowledge of reinforcement steel manufacturing and handling processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical or production issues
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
