Mandurah, Western Australia BETHANIE GROUP Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Bethanie is a leading not-for-profit aged care provider based in Western Australia. For over 70 years, we have been empowering ageing Australians to lead their most meaningful lives by recognising 'old age' as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.

We're on a mission to create a better world not just for ageing Australians, but their communities as well. We believe that to make this difference, you need the right people by your side. We believe that's what makes us truly different

We currently have a casual opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team and service Bethanie Peel, Bethanie Waters, and Bert England Lodge. If you share our passion for person-centred therapy services and promoting a positive ageing experience for older people, we would love to hear from you

About the Role:

  • Incorporate aged care quality standards into all services.
  • Synthesise information, through observation and written documentation, to provide recommendations that are relationship-centred and informed by evidence-based best practice.
  • Undertake a range of assessments that help to understand the holistic experience of the person.

About You:

  • Current full, unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Relevant experience in an aged care environment or supporting people living with dementia is an advantage, but is not essential.
  • Be relatable and able to share knowledge in a way that supports change at all levels.
  • High level of negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to manage a complex workload and adapt to fast-changing priorities and environments.
  • Customer-focused and works effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates effective communication, strong verbal and written skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of The Bethanie Group.
  • Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one).

Working with Bethanie:
