Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ING Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

At ING Australia, you'll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, inclusive culture, and technology to become the best version of you. And we are counting on your unique voice and perspective to help ING Australia become even better. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself and you'll be making a difference to our customer's lives by shaping the way they bank and empowering them to stay a step ahead in life and business.

We're on a hunt for an experienced Marketing Leader who comes from a solid knowledge in Insurance with leadership experience to join our Product and Customer Marketing team.

The Marketing Lead, Lending & Wealth will be responsible for developing and executing full-funnel, data-driven marketing strategies to drive awareness, acquisition, engagement, and retention across ING's Mortgages, Consumer Lending, and Wealth portfolios. In the first 12 months, the role will have a key focus on insurance, making prior experience in insurance marketing essential. The successful candidate will lead go-to-market initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally with product and digital teams, and optimise campaigns using customer insights and performance data. This role is pivotal in shaping ING's future-ready marketing capability and delivering customer-centric solutions in a dynamic financial services environment.

Our ideal candidate is a commercially savvy, customer-obsessed senior marketer with deep experience across the full marketing funnel and a strong track record in financial services—particularly in insurance, mortgages, and consumer lending. They bring strategic thinking, creativity, and data fluency to drive impactful marketing programs that deliver measurable business outcomes. With a growth mindset and collaborative spirit, they thrive in dynamic environments, influencing cross-functional teams and leading with purpose. Experience launching new products, managing integrated campaigns, and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes is essential, along with a passion for delivering customer-centric solutions that empower Australians to "do their thing."

Ready to make an impact?

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and execution of full-funnel marketing strategies across Mortgages, Consumer Lending, and Wealth, with a strong focus on insurance in the first 12 months.
  • Build and launch go-to-market plans including segmentation, positioning, and messaging in partnership with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Create and optimise quarterly marketing plans aligned to strategic priorities and KPIs, driving acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Tribes, Digital, Brand, and Customer Interactions teams to deliver integrated campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance using data dashboards and insights to continuously improve effectiveness and ROI.
  • Establish and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and commercial impact.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience in financial services marketing, with deep knowledge of mortgages, consumer lending, and insurance—insurance expertise is essential for the first 12 months.
  • Proven ability to lead full-funnel marketing programs, from strategy to execution, across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and data fluency, including experience with propensity models and customer segmentation to drive performance.
  • Track record of launching new products and developing compelling customer value propositions based on insights and market research.
  • Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across cross-functional teams and navigate complex environments.
  • Leadership capability, with experience building and inspiring high-performing teams in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
