About The Role
AGL's Training and Competency team
has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised
Training Coordinator
to help shape the future of workforce capability across our operational sites.
Based in Melbourne or Mount Beauty,
this role plays a vital part in ensuring our operational workforce is skilled, safe, and compliant. You'll be central to delivering high-quality training experiences and supporting continuous development across AGL's energy assets.
What You'll Be Doing
- Plan and coordinate training sessions for operational and site-based staff.
- Schedule, record, and report on training and competencies using our Learning Management System (LMS).
- Maintain accurate training records and generate reports to meet business and audit requirements.
- Engage external vendors to organise training delivery and ensure compliance with site access and qualification requirements.
- Advise on technical training compliance and competency assessments.
- Support site teams with instructional design, content development, and learning technologies.
- Verify licences and qualifications and ensure site access protocols are met.
- Travel occasionally to other AGL locations and operational sites as needed.
What You'll Bring

- Experience in scheduling, coordination, and reporting, ideally in a training or operational environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Confidence using IT systems, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SAP, document management systems, and LMS platforms, along with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and autonomy, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
