About Netwealth

Founded in 1999, Netwealth has grown rapidly, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit that encourages us to challenge the status quo. Our NextGen superannuation and investment technology exemplify our agile and nimble approach, unburdened by bureaucracy, allowing us to adapt quickly to meet the needs of our clients.

At Netwealth, our team is our greatest asset. We are a collective of passionate individuals dedicated to making life better for more Australians. Our values—Curious, Optimistic, Courageous, Collaborative, Agile, and Genuine—are the guiding principles that shape our decisions and define how we present ourselves to the world. Join us in our mission and become part of a team that not only envisions a better future but actively works to create it.

We're looking for a Cloud Engineer who's excited to shape the future of our cloud environment and grow with us while doing it. If you love solving complex problems, thrive in collaborative teams, and want to work somewhere that values your ideas and your growth, this could be your next move.

This is more than just a technical role. It's a chance to be part of a team that's modernising how we work, building scalable solutions on Azure, and embracing DevOps practices that make a real difference.

You'll be supported, challenged, and empowered to do your best work.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and building cloud infrastructure on Azure that's secure, scalable, and reliable.
  • Creating infrastructure-as-code with Terraform bringing consistency and speed to how we deliver.
  • Developing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to streamline deployments and improve delivery.
  • Enhancing observability with Datadog and Azure Monitor so we stay ahead of issues, not behind them.
  • Collaborating with product managers, architects, and engineers to bring ideas to life.
  • Championing best practices in cloud operations, cost optimisation, and security.

About You
You care about doing things the right way balancing performance, scalability, and security. You take pride in building things the right way. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with teams and stakeholders to design what's next. Strategic in your thinking, you balance performance, scalability, and security, always aiming to deliver solutions that not only work well but create real impact. You enjoy working closely with others, sharing ideas, and learning as you go.

  • Strong expertise with Azure services networking, compute, storage, databases, App Services, Functions, AKS, and more.
  • Confident with Terraform and managing complex deployments across regions and subscriptions.
  • You know your way around Azure DevOps pipelines and YAML templates, and you're always looking for ways to improve.
  • You've worked with observability tools like Datadog and Azure Monitor, and you understand the value of proactive monitoring.
  • You think beyond the build considering resilience, scalability, and security in everything you do.
  • You believe in agile ways of working and continuous improvement.

Tech You'll Work With

  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure, Terraform
  • CI/CD & Release: Azure DevOps, Git
  • Monitoring & Observability: Datadog, Azure Monitor

Why You'll Love Working Here
We're a team that values curiosity, collaboration, and care. You'll be joining a supportive environment where your voice matters, your growth is encouraged, and your work has real impact. Whether you're deep in code or brainstorming with the team, you'll be part of something meaningful.
