Job Title: Warehouse Team Member
Location: Wacol
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for performing a variety of manual and administrative tasks in a warehouse environment. This includes receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing and organizing inventory, maintaining a safe and clean work area and running CNC programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Processing:
Unload and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for defects, damage, or discrepancies.
- Sort, label, and store received items in designated areas.
Order Fulfillment:
Accurately pick products from inventory based on order specifications.
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labelling and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping companies for timely dispatch.
Inventory Management:
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits.
- Report any discrepancies or stock shortages to the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
Warehouse Maintenance:
Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare and submit reports on warehouse activities.
- Assist with other clerical duties as needed.
CNC Operation
Loading/unloading of panels onto the CNC
- Running 3-Axis CNC programs
- Cleaning the CNC
Qualifications:
- Forklift license: License or willingness to obtain a license before commencing.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
Skills:
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- For the right candidate with a willingness to learn, full training will be provided on the CNC.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 20kg) regularly.
- Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions within the warehouse.
Work Environment:
The Warehouse Team Member works in a dynamic warehouse environment, which may include exposure to loud noises, dust, and moving machinery. Safety equipment such as gloves and safety shoes may be required.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to occasionally work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
