About the role

This is a full-time Warehouse Coordinator position with Ron Crouch Transport in Altona North. As Warehouse Coordinator, you will oversee daily warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with strict regulatory requirements under MHF legislation. This includes the safe storage, movement, and documentation of hazardous materials, managing inventory accuracy, and maintaining a high standard of workplace safety

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing the daily operations, Coordinating all warehousing activities, including receiving, dispatch, stock control, and order fulfilment
  • Ensuring compliance with Major Hazard Facility (MHF) requirements, Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation, and Dangerous Goods regulations
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of hazardous substances and dangerous goods
  • Conducting regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Supporting emergency preparedness and response planning
  • Leading and mentoring warehouse staff to foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Supervising and training warehouse staff to maintain high standards of performance and safety

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics coordination role (experience within a Major Hazard Facility or Dangerous Goods environment highly desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of Dangerous Goods legislation, WHS, and environmental compliance requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar warehousing or logistics role

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and inventory control software
  • Forklift licence and experience in operating warehouse equipment is highly desirable
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
