National Food Institute is a Registered Training Organisation (TOID3821) specialising in the delivery of accredited on the job training. We have long standing industry knowledge and engagement in the delivery of School Based Traineeships in Certificate II in Baking and Certificate II and III in Food Processing.
We engage with a wide range of community and not for profit organisations to deliver engaging programs on-site at schools and in the workplace.

About the role
Certificate II in Baking
We require a Trainer/Assessor to join our RTO to deliver Certificate II in Baking, facilitating training and assessment to students from all walks of life.
Our cohort consists of students with mild intellectual and learning disabilities. Our group sizes are small so that you are able to provide a high level of student support and student development.
You will be a passionate and engaging Trainer with the skills and knowledge to develop and deliver the qualification in the workplace with classroom facilities.
This program will provide students with the practical skills and knowledge to undertake a board range of tasks in the Baking field.
It involves a range of tasks involving known routines and procedures and taking some accountability for the quality of work outcomes.

This is a PERMANENT PART-TIME position offering work for 4 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) with the option of FULL TIME for a suitable candidate.
Skills and Experience Required:
VET Trainer, equipped with a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with industry qualifications within Baking and Food operations
VET experience delivering to School based Traineeships to students with mild intellectual and learning disabilities or similar community-based experience in disability is preferable but not required.
Certificate II or III in Baking and / or Certificate III in Food level qualification is preferred but not essential
Industry experience (within the past 3 years) and demonstrated ongoing involvement.
Engaging communication skills. You are a compassionate Trainer
