About the Role
As our
School Engagement Officer
, you'll be the face of our School Based Training programs, delivering powerful, engaging presentations to students, educators, and stakeholders. You'll be on the road, working closely with schools and industry partners to inspire and equip students with the tools and knowledge to build meaningful futures, whilst increasing engagements and the successful completion of school-based training.
This is a
full-time, permanent
role based at our Osborne Park office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver engaging presentations and workshops in schools and community settings to inspire and motivate students to explore career pathways.
- Promote School Based Apprenticeships/Traineeships to VET Coordinators, Principals and other key stakeholders
- Educate students on tactics to improve their own job search to enable a School Based Apprenticeships/Traineeship
- Undertake assessments of students, to determine readiness for School Based Apprenticeships/Traineeships
- Develop and nurture relationships with employers to identify and implemented school-based training programs and identify opportunities for transition to Cert III training and employment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A natural and confident public speaker with experience presenting to large groups.
- Ability to engage with secondary school students in a relatable, inspiring way
- Ability to provide students with sound guidance in job seeking skills, workplace knowledge, values and academic achievement
- Self-driven with strong organisational skills and able to manage multiple events and relationships.
- Understanding of apprenticeships and traineeships
- National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (essential)
- Current unrestricted Drivers Licence as a tool of trade vehicle is provided with this role (essential)
- Cert IV in Career Development, or similar (desirable)
