Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer – Sydney & Brisbane Offices

We are a growing law firm operating across Sydney and Brisbane seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts professional to join our team on a part-time basis.


You can be located in Sydney or Brisbane

About the role:

This role will see you managing the firm's day-to-day accounts, working closely with our team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations. You'll be responsible for legal industry-specific invoicing, reconciliations, and producing high-quality financial reports.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process
    legal invoicing
    with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manage
    Xero
    accounting system and integrate with
    LEAP
    or
    Smokeball
  • Complete bank and trust account reconciliations in accordance with legal trust accounting requirements
  • Prepare financial reports for management and compliance purposes
  • Work to deadlines and ensure timely reporting
  • Liaise with team members across both Sydney and Brisbane offices

About you:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping/accounts within the
    legal industry
  • Strong working knowledge of
    Xero
  • Experience with
    LEAP
    or
    Smokeball
    integrations (essential)
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
