The Role

This exciting Part time contract opportunity is based at our Brisbane Showroom and will be responsible for the customer service and sales of both general public and our design professionals. This would be ideal for someone looking to work three days per week ( 3 days/week (approx. 9am–3pm or similar)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday Contracted until July 2026

Two days per week in the Showroom and responsibilities include:

  • Meet & greet customers that come into the showroom providing a professional sales experience
  • Develop trust and deliver excellence in client service through the entire client service experience
  • Perform administrative duties including answering phones, providing quotes and data input to ensure that follow up and service excellence is maintained
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service
  • Assisting with online orders, stock replenishment
  • Assist with the day-to-day requirements of the showroom
  • Maintain spectacular visual merchandising and store presentation standards
  • Assist with achieving budgets

  • Work with warehouse staff to ensure timely customer delivery

  • Spend 1 day on the road per fortnight for off-site meetings – selling. KPI of 6 clients per month

  • Co-ordinate and host client meetings within the showroom 1 day per fortnight

The successful candidate

  • Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a retail environment
  • Someone who has a passion for customer service and working in a sales environment
  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Honesty and reliability
  • Experience with stock handling and merchandising
  • Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a team player and willing to provide support in all facets of the role.
  • Furniture products and technical knowledge would be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (incl. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Previous experience in merchandising
  • Interior Design qualification

With a background or strong interest in interior design, you bring an eye for aesthetics, spatial awareness, and a genuine passion for helping clients bring their vision to life. You're comfortable discussing materials, layouts, and design choices, and can guide clients through the selection process with clarity and enthusiasm.

You're proactive when it comes to managing your schedule, following up with leads, and keeping track of ongoing client communications. You enjoy being part of a tight-knit, collaborative team, where everyone pitches in and supports one another. Whether you're setting up a consult, keeping the showroom immaculate, or jumping on a call to schedule a meeting, you approach each task with professionalism, energy, and a positive attitude.
