Communications Officer

Join Aussie Broadband as our Communications Officer and help bring our brand to life. You'll create engaging content, support campaigns, and connect with audiences across social media and digital channels - all while championing our values.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Melbourne office.

Let's talk about you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• A degree in Communications, PR, Journalism or similar relevant qualifications
• Strong literacy and writing skills with a plain-English style
• Familiarity with the latest social media trends
• Experience with multimedia content creation using tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
• Great communication skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders and audiences
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Confident using digital tools and systems
• Organised, adaptable, and able to work independently or in a team
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment

Bonus points for:

• Previous experience in communications or social media
• Understanding of the telco industry
• Skills in data analysis to support decision-making
• Creative thinking and experience managing website content

How will you support our "Why?"

• Support external communications that align with our business goals and audiences
• Create and share engaging content - from social posts and articles to customer communications
• Manage our social media calendar and help manage online communities
• Assist with campaigns and projects, including social media planning and event support
• Track and report on content performance to help us improve
• Help manage issues and crisis communications with guidance from the team
• Build strong relationships across the business to find and share great stories and wins
• Contribute to the Corporate & Regulatory Affairs team as a collaborative team player
