The Casino Food Company is a leading export food processor with production facilities located in Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast. Since 1933, our Company has established ourselves as an industry leader in meat processing, providing a unique opportunity for operators to process livestock in world class processing facilities.

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Labourer to join our Casino team in the Livestock and Yards department on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Livestock Foreman, this position will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of livestock, as well as aiding in daily general labouring duties associated with the Livestock and Yards department. The role will require the ability to work flexible hours on a morning shift.

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
  • Time management skills and ability to keep up with a fast paced production environment
  • Thorough understanding of animal welfare requirements
  • Livestock industry experience
  • Good cattle sense
  • Commitment to undertake training as required
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow directions
  • Strong adherence to WHS procedures
