We are currently seeking a Casual / Part Time Electronic Gaming Processor to join our team at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.

An exciting opportunity for a customer-focused individual who has a genuine interest in the gaming industry and sound mathematical skills to join our close-knit Electronic Gaming team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform gaming attendant duties on the casino floor.
  • Perform customer services duties at Guest Services Desk as required.
  • Provide gaming information and/or services to patrons.
  • Assist patrons with queries regarding the Complex and/or gaming.
  • Perform hand payouts, complete hopper refills, and cash handling as required.
  • Operate TAB and Keno equipment.

Criteria

  • A passion to provide excellence in customer service.
  • Displays a high level of interpersonal, communication, and observation skills.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • A high standard of personal presentation.
  • Solid cash handling and mathematical skills,
  • Computer literate with experience in Point of Sale and EFTPOS.
  • Strong work ethic, with an attention to detail.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Flexibility with shift work arrangements and the ability to work weekends. Casino opening hours are 10am – 2am Sunday to Thursday; and 10am – 4am Friday and Saturday.

All Electronic Gaming employees are required to possess a current Queensland Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Attainment Certificate.

License Requirement

Thisposition requires a Casino Employee Licence. If you are not an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia and over the age of 18 years, your application will not be considered for this role.

Appointment is contingent upon final license approval and individual security (probity) clearances from the Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation.
