We are looking for a Head Chef for our busy restaurant/café in Sydney CBD.

Good pay and bonus for the right person. Mon to Fridays only, no weekend

Ideal candidate needs to be familiar with Greek or Mediterranean cuisine

HeadChef

About the Role:

  • Cooking and preparing high quality meals
  • Directing the food preparation process and delegating tasks
  • Assisting manager in stock ordering to ensure inventory is maintained
  • Assisting manager to create new menu items, recipes and develop dishes
  • Assisting manager with catering and functions
  • Supervise and provide training to our kitchen staff
  • Ensure communication between the kitchen team is effective
  • Ensure staff are following safe work practices at all times
  • Maintain a high standard of food safety guidelines
  • Monday to Fridays only, No weekend work

About You:

  • Ideally with Greek or Mediterranean cuisine cooking experiences
  • Have proven experiences in the same role
  • Ability to manage staff
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to resolve conflict in a constructive manner
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
