We are expanding our team and we're on the lookout for an experienced Business Manager – Merchandise Planning to lead our merchandise inventory and planning team. You'll play a pivotal role in steering the supply chain plan — from forecasting and replenishment through to network capacity and labour production — ensuring the right products are in the right place, at the right time.

Your Impact

In this key leadership role, you'll:

  • Develop and deliver merchandise planning strategies aligned with Supercheap Auto's business goals.
  • Lead your team to optimise inventory, sales, gross margin and stock turn.
  • Oversee financial and operational planning for the BU, including Open to Buy (OTB), seasonal targets, and replenishment processes.
  • Partner with key stakeholders — from Merchandising and Supply Chain to Marketing and eCommerce — to ensure seamless planning and communication across the business.
  • Drive continuous improvement, embedding best practice planning tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Build, inspire and develop a high-performing merchandise planning team.
About You

You're an energetic and commercially astute retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced, analytical and collaborative environment. You'll bring:

  • 2+ years' experience leading a retail merchandise planning team.
  • Extensive knowledge of merchandise planning processes, systems and strategy.
  • Strong financial acumen and a proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar stock portfolios.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills — you know how to turn insights into action.
  • A passion for developing people, building capability and driving engagement across your team.
