What you'll be doing:

Provide Work Health and Safety (WHS) information, advice and support to NSW RFS members to enable implementation and ongoing improvement of the WHS systems and framework in accordance with the Work Health Safety Act 2011 and other legislation.

As our ideal candidate, it is expected that you will have and can demonstrate the following key attributes and skills:

  • Good decision making ability, capable of making critical decisions under pressure
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to present information to various stakeholders.
  • Experience in safety incident management and investigations using root cause analysis methodology such as ICAM.
  • Experience facilitating risk assessment
  • Competency in using the Microsoft suite, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
