St Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace is a Catholic Day School in the Edmund Rice tradition for young men in Years 5 to 12. We have a commitment to the formation of 'Gentlemen of Terrace' to be young men of faith and learning who will make a difference through knowledge, humility and wisdom.

The college has an enrolment of 1900 boys from Years 5 to 12, and a staff of 240.

Applications are invited for the role of Dean of Waterford Place

(Waterford Place is our dedicated Year 9 campus)

Continuing, full-time employment is offered, commencing January Appointment to the position is for 4 years + 4 years, in accordance with the Enterprise Collective Agreement.

The Dean of Waterford Place works in collaboration with and under the immediate direction of the Dean of Studies and Dean of Students. The role holder is responsible for the daily organisation of Waterford Place Campus and the spiritual, pastoral and academic care of the Year Nine students at the College.

As a middle leader within a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice Tradition, the role holder is also expected to be committed to the Mission of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) and St Joseph's College and in particular, promotes, and develops effective strategies and programs that are based on contemporary research regarding learning and teaching methodologies and pastoral care of boys.

The organisational responsibilities and duties particular to the Dean of Waterford Place include the areas of student spiritual, pastoral and academic needs, and leadership specific to the organisation, professional development and performance of the teaching staff at Waterford Place.
