**What being an OSHC Educator Entails**

OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children - such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.

As an OSHC Educator you will:

**Your workspace at the Y**

**YMCA Whites Hill OSHC**is located at Whites Hill State College and offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings. This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.

Programs and activities are aligned with the YMCA Mission - to provide opportunities for children to grow in body, mind and spirit - underpinned by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility. we blend this philosophy with the National Quality Framework 'My Time Our Place' and Whites Hill State College's educational principles to develop appropriate, engaging and most of all FUN activities for your child whilst in our care.

**YMCA Whites Hill OSHC**operate from 6.30am to 9.00am and 3.00pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

The OSHC caters for students from Prep to Year 9 providing age appropriate activities for all. Nutritious breakfasts and afternoon teas are served daily to enhance the wellbeing of our children.

**YMCA Whites Hill OSHC**also offers onsite Vacation Care (Holiday Club) to the Whites Hill community. Holiday Club will operate from 6.30am to 6.00pm during all school holidays.

**To be successful you must have**:

- A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or if you are studying towards a relevant qualification
- A Fantastic sense of fun & a tremendous imagination
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Blue Card or willing to obtain one
