The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a
Senior Test & Verification Engineer
to join their FPGA function, a key division driving innovation in trading technologies. This team is responsible for developing and testing custom FPGA-based trading platforms that power efficient and reliable access to global exchanges.
This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge FPGA technology and systems built in SystemVerilog, C++, and Python, all targeting state-of-the-art hardware. Finance or trading experience is not required, but a proven track record in testing and verification is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive FPGA systems testing and verification strategies
- Define and implement verification standards
- Carry out simulation and hardware testing across multiple exchanges
- Collaborate closely with trading teams to ensure robust, high-performance solutions
What We're Looking For
- Strong expertise in functional verification, code linting, and hardware testing
- Experience with layered reusable environments, scoreboards, functional coverage models, randomized stimulus, and self-checking harnesses (SystemVerilog, UVM, or cocotb)
- Proficiency in Python and C++ within a Linux environment
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo)
- Strong problem-solving ability, capable of simplifying complex issues
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, UDP/IP) is desirable
