Sonographer Trainee Clinician

**About the role

The Sonographer Trainee Clinician is an eligible HP3 clinician who is completing a post graduate diploma in medical ultrasound under the supervision of experienced sonographers.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Deliver Medical Imaging services commensurate with training and experience, within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with:

prescribed professional and ethical standards

local protocols, policies, procedures and work-place instructions

relevant legislation

Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the professional guidance of a more senior clinician.

Mandatory Requirements:

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16

Hold at least a tertiary degree qualification enabling enrolment in a Post Graduate Medical Ultrasound program that is accredited by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Register.

Must be registered as a student sonographer with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Register

If a Radiographer, the successful applicant also must:

Have, or be eligible to have, current registration with AHPRA

Have, or be eligible to have, a Licence to Use Irradiating Apparatus issued by Radiation Health, Queensland.
