The Role:

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the in-store experience and maintaining the high standards that Daiso is known for. This position calls for a proactive approach to management, team leadership, and a dedication to fostering a welcoming shopping atmosphere. You will assist the store manager in managing and overseeing the daily store operations and contribute to the overall atmosphere and customer satisfaction, ensuring that Daiso continues to be a preferred shopping destination.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain daily store operations by implementing and adhering to business processes and procedures with a spirited approach that motivates and inspires the team.

  • Leading and inspiring the team to meet all financial and performance KPIs and ensuring all reporting requirements are met on time.

  • Assist in recruiting, training, mentoring and developing a high-performing store team that provides exceptional customer service and embodies the Daiso culture.

  • Assist in overseeing daily store operations and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Manage store inventory, merchandising, and visual standards to ensure a delightful shopping experience that keeps customers returning.

  • Uphold store presentation and visual merchandising standards are met consistently according to company guidelines and elevate the shopping environment.

  • Ensure that the health and safety regulations and the company's policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager within a retail setting, preferably in high-volume environments, with a minimum of 1 year.

- Strong leadership and people management skills.

- Excellent communication, organisational and multitasking skills. 

- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Passion for retail and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Undertake staffing responsibilities, including recruitment, training, and development.
