LGT Wealth Management was formed around a clear and uncompromising vision – to bring global best practice in building institutional quality investment portfolios to Australian clients.
With a shared passion for building an uncompromised business – we created something new from the ground up. A chance to leave behind the things that weren't working, while enhancing the things that were. Our authentic and personalised client-first commitment. Our entrepreneurial spirit. Our focus in best-in-class advice. And our intimate understanding of the Australian private wealth landscape.
In 2022 we became a part of the LGT Group, who shared our entrepreneurial spirit, long-term approach and private-ownership model. Today, with the global expertise, stability, and capability of LGT behind us, we can work without being reliant on markets or margins, with a singular focus on giving our clients the advice and deep expertise they need for generations to come.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role within the broader Technology department, contributing to the design, implementation, and ongoing operations of our systems and infrastructure. You will also provide critical support for backend applications and interfaces essential to LGT Wealth Management's business operations.

- Perform proactive monitoring, routine maintenance, and ensure regular backups and patching in support of business continuity.
Technical Support & Subject Matter Expertise
- Provide expert support for hosted finance and business applications (e.g., Dynamics, Avaloq, Tableau), serving as a subject matter expert for critical systems.
- Advise users on best practices for application utilisation and access; promote and enforce security standards in all technical operations.
- Collaborate with group and local teams to resolve complex incidents, maintaining clear documentation and communication with stakeholders.
Testing, Validation, and Deployment
- Build, support, and manage test environments, ensuring all patches and deployments are validated prior to go-live.
- Plan and coordinate the deployment of new applications and infrastructure in partnership with engineering and group teams.
- Manage deployment schedules and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and successful handover to users.
DevOps, Automation, & Cloud
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate administrative tasks using tools like GitLab, ArgoCD, PowerShell, Python, and Ansible.
- Administer Azure infrastructure, integrate Entra ID for secure authentication, and manage containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of Platform as a Service and container platforms in alignment with group standards.
Continuous Improvement & Documentation
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve systems, deployment processes, and security posture, staying informed of industry best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, networks, and user procedures to support TechBar and IT operations.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing efficient solutions and conducting regular reviews of systems and processes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in systems and network administration (Windows/Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SharePoint) and technical support for business-critical applications.
- Hands-on expertise in automation and scripting, cloud administration (Azure), containerisation, CI/CD toolchains, and incident response.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with proven ability to work in hybrid IT environments and support security and compliance initiatives.
Technical Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to lead and work effectively within teams to achieve technical and business objectives.
- Commitment to customer-centric outcomes and continuous process improvement.
- High-level communication skills and a solid understanding of corporate infrastructure operations, including change and incident management.
You have at least four years of experience as a Systems or Infrastructure Engineer, ideally within a financial services organisation or other highly regulated industry. Your technical expertise includes hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 services, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and enterprise networks spanning LAN, WAN, VLANs, and Wi-Fi. You are confident in troubleshooting and resolving complex end-user computing, server, network, and firewall issues, and have a solid understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Experience with Azure cloud platforms, containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and automation through scripting or Infrastructure as Code is highly advantageous. You are comfortable working collaboratively with local business and support teams, as well as remote and global counterparts, and are recognised for your strong communication skills and commitment to excellent service delivery.
