Position Summary

The Food & Beverage Attendant is a passionate hospitality professional committed to delivering Capella's signature standard of service in creating unforgettable dining experiences for our guests. This individual excels in anticipating guests' needs, offering personalised service, and providing insightful recommendations on menu options, beverage selections, and daily specials to enhance each visit.

We are seeking dedicated Capella Ambassadors to join our team as Food & Beverage Attendants in the following outlets:

  • In Room Dining (Part-Time)

  • Brasserie1930 - Lunch & Dinner Service (Casual/Part-Time)

  • Breakfast Service (Part-Time)

  • Aperture (Part-Time)

The Role

  • Be attentive and anticipate guests' service needs, including creating connections to understand their preferences in order to provide personalized service.

  • Be knowledgeable of food and beverage items on the menu and have the ability to recommend menu combinations and up sell alternatives.

  • Assist other colleagues to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.

  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.

  • Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.

  • Set tables according to the type of event and service standards, including types of linens, glassware, plate/chinaware, and silver/flatware, ensuring all supplies meet quality standards.

  • Be knowledgeable of and follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol.

  • Perform closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist.

Talent Profile

  • Prior experience in similar role/capacity is ideal.

  • Attention to detail and proactiveness.

  • Good communication with personable character and being authentic.

  • Good command of written and spoken English.

  • Valid working rights in Australia.

  • Availability to work on a rotating roster across the week, including weekends and public holidays, is essential.

  • NSW RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Competency Card

  • Food Handler's Certificate
