About the roleAbout the RoleYou will:
  • Deliver safe, patient-centred palliative care to inpatients and outpatients
  • Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to teaching programs for medical students and trainees
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement, audit, and research projects
  • Support a collaborative and inclusive learning environment across medical, nursing, and allied health teams
  • Be involved in clinical governance, including documentation, safety reporting, and infection control
  • Opportunities to contribute to and support existing clinical trials and initiate, design, conduct and report clinical trials within the Department of Palliative and Supportive Care, collaborating with Mater Research and UQ.
About You
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
  • Fellowship or Advanced Training status with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Palliative Medicine)
  • Strong clinical skills in symptom management, end-of-life care, and interdisciplinary communication
