About the Role
The Team Leader Fleet and Workplace Services leads a small team responsible for the management of DTP fleet management services and workplace contracts, including stationery, print and office consumables. By effectively leading the team, this role ensures that best value is delivered, risks are reduced, and customer and stakeholder requirements are met.
You will manage the performance of workplace contracts and strategically monitor contract performance to identify opportunities to rationalise the DTP fleet and deliver value in workplace contracts.
You will also work closely to support the Manager Workplace Services and Contracts to strategically align workplace contracts with operational requirements and ensures that the team is equipped to deliver day to day operational tasks in line with contract requirements
Position Accountabilities
- Provides leadership and guidance to the Fleet and Workplace Contracts team.
- Interprets and applies asset management principles, and other related policies, standards and legislation related to fleet and workplace contracts and provides advice to others on issues
- Contributes to strategic business plans.
- Develops briefs on highly complex issues that provide options for discussion and consideration and will contribute to the development of a set of final options for decision
- Negotiates with stakeholders, peers, industry bodies and other government agencies with the objective of gaining co-operation, influencing views and meeting timelines for delivery of service or advice

Key Selection Criteria
We're seeking a confident communicator who can engage diverse audiences, handle complex or sensitive discussions, and consistently make a strong, credible impression. You'll apply advanced critical thinking to evaluate issues from multiple angles, identify recurring challenges, and implement solutions that deliver real business outcomes. With solid project delivery skills, you'll define and coordinate tasks, guide others through execution, and keep progress on track. Your strong commercial and financial acumen will help shape sound business cases, inform expenditure decisions, and manage risk across procurement and service agreements. You'll also play a key role in managing and developing team capability, aligning work with organisational goals and modelling constructive, values-driven behaviours. Drawing on deep experience in commercial strategy and partnerships, you'll lead complex procurement negotiations, oversee supplier and contract management, and provide strategic recommendations that strengthen partnerships and maximise value for the organisation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a government context
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or significant experience in a similar role (desirable)

This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid driver's license.
