Production Supervisor

This role reports to an Operations Manager and will lead the production shift team safely and efficiently to ensure quality product packing from the Warriewood packing plant. This role will require someone to provide leadership, coaching and support the production team to continuously improve the operational outcomes of the packing plant.

You are expected to work fully on-site in our Warriewood packing plant. This is a fixed term role until December 2027.

What will you do?

• Health, Safety & Environment: Lead and promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety policies, conducting risk assessments, managing incidents, and supporting return-to-work programs.

• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Champion a quality-first mindset by adhering to TGA GMP principles, investigating quality deviations, coordinating corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with all quality procedures.

• Operational Efficiency: Oversee packing operations to meet production targets, manage downtime resolution, and ensure adherence to SOPs and standard activity times.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement through CI initiatives, problem-solving tools, and proactive updates to SOPs and processes.

• Team Leadership & Development: Coach and support team members, manage performance, conduct reviews, and promote growth aligned with individual aspirations and business needs.

• Training & Capability Building: Coordinate and execute training plans to maintain skill balance, ensure succession planning, and meet operational needs.

• Resource & Schedule Management: Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet shift and weekly targets, manage labour costs, and contribute to production scheduling.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with support departments, escalate issues promptly, and ensure plant and equipment are maintained for optimal performance

Who are you?

• Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline are essential.

• Additional certifications in Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, or Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) are highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of TGA GMP principles, quality systems, and compliance requirements.

• Experience in resource planning, performance management, and staff development.

• Proficiency in using production systems and tools such as OFS, SOPs, and risk assessment frameworks.
