Harness Assembly Technician / Trade Assistant

Australian Diversified Engineering (ADE) design and manufacture solutions and find efficiencies, improve safety, and remove compromises in mining and industrial operations.

Over the past three decades ADE has developed strong relationships with many of Australia's leading miners and contractors, as well as mining equipment manufacturers and their dealers operating both within Australia and overseas.

About the position:

We're looking for a motivated, energetic personto join our dedicated team at Brendale on Brisbane's Northside. In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in assembling and testing our high quality electrical harnesses in some of the most advanced mining products in the industry.

Ideally, we are on the hunt for somebody with prior electrical harness manufacturing experience but will consider someone with transferable skills that can demonstrate a high level of manual and mechanical aptitude with an eye for detail and ready to take their career in a new direction. Salary offered will be based on level of experience and or qualifications.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble low and medium voltage electrical wiring harnesses to the highest safety and quality standards
  • Comprehend wiring drawings and diagrams
  • Test electrical harnesses
  • Operate wire cutting and braiding machine
  • Crimping, wire stripping, soldering, injection molding
  • Work closely with our Operations and Engineering teams to deliver exceptional results
  • Ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing first-class work

What We're Looking For

  • Ideally, experience in electrical harness manufacturing or assembly
  • OR strong manual and mechanical aptitude with an eye for detail, ready to learn
  • Ability to work methodically and maintain high standards of workmanship
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Strong organisation and communication skills with the ability to multitask
  • For the right person with prior experience in Harness manufacturing and or relevant qualifications a higher salary may be on offer
