Workforce Planner

Location: North Side of the Brisbane River, QLD

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Workforce Planner to join our team at our Distribution Centre. Reporting directly to the Distribution Centre Manager, you will play a key role in managing labour hire agency relationships, rostering, scheduling, payroll administration, and safety management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing operational efficiency with people-focused practices.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with labour hire companies and external suppliers.
  • Escalate employee issues appropriately and provide constructive feedback on performance.
  • Support the recruitment process for team member roles in consultation with management.
  • Schedule inductions, probation meetings, and assist supervisors throughout the process.
  • Ensure rostering complies with the relevant Enterprise Agreement.
  • Respond to ad hoc operational requests and adjust schedules as required.
  • Verify services provided align with invoicing.
  • Process leave and maintain payroll as directed by Management and HR.
  • Take a proactive role in safety administration, including the Safety Management System (Solvesafety).

Teamwork & Relationships:

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and external suppliers.
  • Communicate openly, resolve conflicts constructively, and foster a safe working environment.
  • Organise wellness programs and support a positive team culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail operations and administrationis required.
  • Experience in workforce planning, labour hire management, rostering, and payroll administration is highly desirable.
