About the Opportunity

McConnell Dowell Constructors Aust. Pty Ltd are seeking a Site Engineer to join an exciting centrally located project in Melbourne's West. 

The successful candidate will support the effective coordination and control of elements of construction delivery works for the project, through activities of technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support construction and installation, program, costs, safety, environmental and quality aspects of the construction packages.
  • Coordinate with Managers and Superintendents on engineering, temporary works, scheduling, and status of the project
  • Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel
  • Carry out progressive engineering audits of temporary works in accordance with the audit schedule.
  • Actively and accurately define scopes of work and highlight any discrepancies through the execution of project activities

Position Requirements:

  • Relevant civil/construction engineering Tertiary qualification.
  • Preferably four years' experience in a Construction / Engineering environment.
  • Proven experience working on large scale Marine construction project/s
  • Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders
  • Construction Induction White Card
  • Valid driver's Licence
