About the Children's Tumour Foundation
The Children's Tumour Foundation (CTF) is Australia's peak body supporting individuals and families impacted by Neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic condition causing tumours to grow on nerves throughout the body. CTF aims to help individuals navigate their journey from fear to hope, providing access to critical support services, investing in research, and advocating for improved awareness and care.
The Role
As Chief Executive Officer, you will lead CTF through its next phase, working closely with the Board and a dedicated team to drive the Foundation's mission. The CEO will oversee strategic planning, operational management, and the development of impactful partnerships, especially with government, corporates and high-net-worth donors. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of promoting a culture of innovation and empowerment, while strengthening relationships across the health sector, including hospitals, medical professionals, and pro bono service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
: Lead the implementation of CTF's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with CTF's mission and sustainability goals. - Governance & Compliance
: Uphold high standards of governance and regulatory compliance, maintaining transparency and accountability to the Board. - Fundraising & Partnerships
: Drive growth by establishing partnerships and expanding CTF's donor network, with an emphasis on government grants and corporate sponsorships. - Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement
: Represent CTF in the health sector and with government bodies, advocating for the needs of those with NF. - Operational Oversight
: Manage budget development, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency to maximise impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a relevant field; health sector experience preferred.
- 3-5 years' leadership experience in a not-for-profit organisation ideally in a role that has involved securing government and/or corporate funding
- Proven ability to develop digital strategies that drive engagement and revenue growth.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and financial management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with empathy for the NF community.
The Ideal Candidate
We seek an entrepreneurial, strategic thinker with a strong digital orientation and a passion for making a difference. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader, able to inspire teams and cultivate partnerships that expand CTF's impact.
