TQA Consulting is seeking a Project Managerfor a six-month full-time contract in Darwin, NT. Candidates must be based in Darwin or willing to relocate.

About The Role

This role oversees project teams, ensuring outcomes align with organisational objectives and are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards. A strong focus on planning, governance, delivery, and adoption is essential to ensure successful implementation and long-term benefits.


What You'll Do

  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee the delivery of assigned project activities, ensuring alignment with organisation strategic goals.
  • Apply structured project management methodologies to achieve strong planning, risk control, and performance outcomes.
  • Manage risks, issues, and governance requirements while maintaining probity and compliance with legislative and operational standards.
  • Drive the successful adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies within operational environments, ensuring changes are practical and accepted by end users.
  • Lead change management, training, and communication activities to embed new capabilities and promote user engagement.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on project progress, benefits, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Analyse operational, legislative, and regulatory factors impacting project delivery.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 7 years' experience managing or supporting projects involving organisational, operational, or technology-driven change.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and manage people and resources in complex or high-risk environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, and delivery disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success in driving both project delivery and user adoption to achieve sustainable outcomes.
  • Experience leading or supporting change management, training, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to assess and interpret operational, legislative, and regulatory requirements relevant to the project context.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in large-scale, complex, or high-profile project environments.
  • Familiarity with policing, public safety, or government operations.
  • Understanding of IT Service Management and digital transformation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of system design, integration, or data interfaces.
  • Proficiency in project and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • TOGAF Certification
