Independent Timber Supplies is looking for an experienced Carpenter with knowledge on frame and truss installation to join our thriving business. This is a new position with an incredible opportunity to highlight your skills and knowledge in our industry. Who are we and what we need

Independent Timber Supplies are a WA business that is locally owned and been operating for over 35 years. We service a range of Project Builders, Custom Builders and Owner Builders with our timber supply and manufacturing of prefabricated frames and trusses in the Western Australian building market.

We are seeking an energetic and results driven Frame and Truss Installation Supervisor/ Trainer that will lead, supervise, and train installation teams. This role is to be the conduit between our Manufacturing and Design teams to ensure a smooth install at site. This role willmaximise our team's potential through the effective leadership and will offer you the chance to display your people skills in all levels of business. Reporting to the Operations Manager Manufacturing you will support decision making, be invited to share your industry knowledge and be part of a wider team that is focused on our business being industry leaders in a positive growth culture.

About the role:

  • End to end management of fabricated frame and truss on site.
  • Scheduling and booking of works to be completed.
  • Coordination of products, tools, equipment, and any other requirements for a safe and efficient install.
  • Reporting on installations to key stakeholders
  • High obligation and understanding of Safety and risk minimisation.
  • To provide training as required to new teams.

To Successful you will need:

  • Carpentry qualification including Construction Induction
  • A comprehensive understanding of framed construction.
  • Communication that can move between all levels of business and client liaison.
  • Progressive and Positive culture mindset.
  • A current and clean driving licence.
  • Be able to demonstrate the experience you have to support an application through references and roles previously employed in.
  • Willingness to Drug and Alcohol testing prior to employment and understanding during employment random testing is conducted.
  • Police check may be required.
