About the role
We have an opportunity for a General Support Officer to be part of our Telecommunications Interception Unit, Forensic Evidence \& Technical Services Command. The General Support Officer provides specialist administrative support services to the Telecommunications Interception Unit which is responsible for the collection, analysis processing and dissemination of electronic evidence collected lawfully pursuant to the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act as well as the Surveillance Devices Act NSW.
Other accountabilities for the role include:
- Provide quality forensic transcript of evidentiary media for court proceedings in accordance with client deadlines and procedures and assist interpreters with transcription
- Assist with administrative services including the provision of warrants, monitoring of lawfully collected information, creation of evidence summaries, release of information as per legislation, and transcription of evidence; and
- Maintain databases, records management systems and electronic mail systems in accordance with legislation, policy, and procedures to ensure information remains accurate, correctly stores, and accessible.
The role works in a small team environment and must be able to manage a large workload within strict timeframes.
This role is part-time, working 21 hours per week. Salary will be paid at the pro-rata rate.
