Contribute your financial expertise to a purpose-driven business redefining retirement living.
At Levande, we're proudly Australian-owned and independent, with a clear mission: to build vibrant communities where people live well. Backed by strong capital support, we're growing rapidly, and so is our Corporate Finance team.
We're currently seeking a Financial Accountant (Maximum Term Contract until February 2027) to join our finance team and provide essential support across financial reporting, month-end close, and process improvements. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to apply their knowledge in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Why this role?
This is an ideal role for someone early in their finance career who wants to grow their technical accounting skills while supporting a high-performing finance team. You'll assist with key financial processes, support senior accountants with reconciliations and reporting, and contribute to system and control improvements across the team.
You'll be part of a values-led organisation with a supportive culture and clear purpose, contributing to work that genuinely impacts the lives of older Australians.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive team player with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to learn. You'll thrive in a collaborative team and enjoy contributing to consistent, accurate financial outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Progress towards or completion of CA or CPA qualification
- Foundational understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
- Experience (or strong internship exposure) in month-end close, reconciliations, or financial reporting
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior accountants
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
- (Nice to have) Experience in property, retirement living, or aged care sectors
What you'll be doing
- Assisting with month-end close activities, including journal preparation and reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports and variance analysis
- Maintaining financial records and ensuring accuracy of the general ledger
- Assisting with external audits and investor reporting cycles
- Contributing to ongoing improvements in finance systems and processes
- Providing day-to-day support to the wider finance team
What we offer
At Levande, we believe a great career is built on purpose, opportunity, and support. When you join us, you're joining a values-led business that puts people first.
- Hybrid working model – four days in our Sydney office, one day remote
- Career development, including access to learning tools and mentoring
- Supportive, inclusive team culture
- Well-being days, parental and grandparent leave, and other family-friendly benefits
Next steps
If your background aligns, you'll be invited to complete a Criteria Assessment as part of our recruitment process. This helps us ensure alignment with the key requirements of the role.
If you're ready to build your finance career in a business that values your contribution and supports your growth, we'd love to hear from you.
Join us and make an impact.
