Property Lawyer role Graduate Lawyer to 1-year PQE

The opportunity

This role is a rare opportunity, ideal for a Law Graduate or Junior Solicitor who is eager to build a career in property law.  The successful candidate will be become a valued member of our team, working across all aspects of our diverse property law practice.

If you have commercial acumen, strong interpersonal skills, enjoy working with key stakeholders and a genuine interest in property law this may be the opportunity you are seeking.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Handling conveyancing, leasing and mortgage transactions
  • Drafting and advising on contracts for sale
  • Off the plan projects, acting for vendors or purchasers
  • Advising on and drafting leases, deeds and land titles dealings
  • Acquisitions and disposals
  • Due diligence tasks such as conducting searches, public records searches and obtaining/ reviewing documents
  • Preparing mortgage documentation, attending to title certification and arranging settlement
  • Support client negotiations and transactions to achieve commercial outcomes.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders i.e.; other party's solicitors and support staff;
  • Licences and land access arrangements;
  • Property related disputes;
  • Property development (development agreements, security arrangements and land subdivision);
  • Support client negotiations and transactions to achieve commercial outcomes.
  • Assist other Property Lawyers in the team

Requirements

  • Experience as a Paralegal/Law Clerk in property law advantageous
  • Exposure to PEXA is advantageous
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Can do attitude with the skills and ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Efficient time management and highly organised
  • Ability to deliver accurate, timely work
  • Team player (across the entire business, not just your team)
  • Professional personal appearance

This is a full-time position based in our Sydney office.
