About the role
HomeStay Support services aim to prevent homelessness and help people maintain their independence through assisting individuals and families with keeping their current tenancies. This support includes providing access to relevant services, social support networks, and addressing issues that could lead to homelessness.
Tenancy Sustainment Services support individuals and families at risk of homelessness or who have recently secured housing by providing case management, life skills development, and assistance in accessing education, employment, and other services to help them maintain stable tenancies.
In this role you will provide individualised support to clients to set and attain identified goals. You will collaborate with other agencies and organisations to source appropriate support, contribute to co-design process and adapt and innovate ways of working in order to optimise our response to our clients.
What you will bring
- Proven ability to provide high quality, specialist casework support and case management
- Demonstrated understanding of how to holistically assess complex client needs, including conducting risk assessments, and developing effective case plans and safety planning
- Proven ability to identify service gaps and manage complex cases within a context of competing priorities
- Demonstrated cultural competence and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated effectiveness in contributing to interagency collaboration and ability to lead collaboration, advocate and network with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of the complex needs of children and young people is desirable
- A current Working With Children's Check and Australian Drivers Licence is mandatory

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award – Level 4. Salary from $88,090.08
