Domestic and Family Violence Response Worker

The Role

As a Domestic and Family Violence Response Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing crisis intervention, case management, and support to individuals experiencing or at risk of domestic and family violence. You will:

  • Deliver trauma-informed support to clients in crisis.
  • Participate in the on-call roster to provide a 24-hour/ 365 day per year service to the community.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Provide referrals and advocacy with relevant agencies.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure holistic, coordinated responses.
  • Contribute to community education and awareness activities where appropriate.

About You

We're looking for someone who is empathetic, resilient, and committed to social justice. Ideally, you will have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of domestic and family violence, including the impacts of trauma is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and NDIS Worker Screening Card (or ability to obtain).
  • Current driver's licence.
  • The ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
