Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and statewide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Unaccredited Urology Registrar to join our Urology Department from August 2026.

About the department

The Urology Unit, as part of the Division of Surgery, is responsible for the provision of services within the speciality to patients across Austin Health. The Head of the Unit is Assoc Professor Damian Bolton.

About the role

A registrar is required to perform the duties of the position efficiently, according to the standards of Austin Health. Austin Health will assist in meeting the training requirements of all Advanced Surgical trainees in accordance with the guidelines.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Exhibit a commitment to Austin Health values
  • Hold registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - (note eligible applicants will be assisted through this process)
  • Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Urology
  • Demonstrated commitment to high quality patient care
