MOTOR MECHANIC

Select Events Australia is looking for an exceptional Motor Mechanic who is motivated with a positive 'can-do' attitude to assist our senior mechanic in the day-day running of our fleet workshop. Some regional and interstate travel may be required to service and maintain company vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

· Successfully detect and diagnose faults in company vehicles

· Repair and replace mechanical defective parts

· Assembling and installing mechanical components

· Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical components to diagnose issues

· Routine vehicle maintenance

· Vehicle safety checks

· Inspect vehicle computer

  • Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles

Other tasks may include, but not limited to:

  • Air conditioning servicing
  • Electrical systems
  • Engine performance
  • Install accessories or upgrade parts
  • Provide advice on vehicle maintenance
  • Maintain company parts inventory and cleanliness in the workshop
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

Each job is to be completed up to Australian Standards

Key Requirements:

  • Applicant will hold relevant vocational or trade qualifications and must possess at least 1-Year of relevant employment experience
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Industry knowledge and safe work practices / OH&S
  • Current drivers' licence
  • Good work ethic and willingness to work
  • Self-Motivated and can work as a team
  • Work well under pressure
  • Good attitude towards work
  • Be fit and able to carry out manual labour

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
