Position Vacant: Heavy Vehicle Transport Consultant
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Heavy Vehicle Transport Consultant
to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in contractor management, transport operations, and/or compliance who is passionate about safety, making a difference, and supporting the small to medium contractor.
We work predominately for contractors in the constructions material industries, waste industry and some general transport. Most of our clients are either single operator (LOD) or fleet owners (MFO). Apart from our CoR Management and Accreditation Systems the core of our business is unique and specialised with no other companies currently offering what we do.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide expert advice, support and consultancy to our clients in relation to their Principal Contractor and/or Heavy Vehicle Transport issues in general.
· Consult and educate around compliance with NHVAS, Chain of Responsibility, and other relevant legislation.
· Provide for implementation our Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Mass, Maintenance and Fatigue Accreditation Packages.
· Conduct Audits, Risk Assessments, and/or Incident/Accident Investigations on behalf of our clients.
· Assist and support our Clients with Contract Negotiations. (Currently in Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland)
· Liaise with the Principal Contractor on behalf of our clients around contractual issues, breaches and any other concerns.
· Promote, convert and source additional work. (The majority of our work comes from word of mouth with a small portion from our website, currently)
Skills & Experience:
· Experience in the heavy vehicle transport industry, ideally with contractor management experience.
· Strong knowledge around heavy vehicle transport legislation and compliance requirements.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and provide individually tailored client solutions.
· Ideally (not mandatory) have experience and/or knowledge in the construction materials industry.
· Attention to detail with strong written and computer skills.
· Strong negotiation skills are required.
