Jigsaw Autism Services is a paediatric early intervention service providing therapy for kids with neurodevelopmental disorders, aged 0-18 years. Jigsaw is a Registered NDIS Provider and is a highly respected, award winning service, established in 2009. Jigsaw operates out of a brand new, purpose designed clinic at Wyong, on the NSW Central Coast.
Jigsaw has grown from just being its founding director to a fully established organisation where services are in a high demand and where quality is not measured by quantity. Jigsaw are on the search for a new team member who has skills and expertise in the education or allied health profession to join us in making a difference one step at a time. - This position is open to University qualified practitioners who must have a bachelor's degree or higher. Teachers with experience in early childhood and/or special education have skills and expertise that are essential to this field and are much sort after.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for qualified education and allied health candidates to join our transdisciplinary team, providing therapeutic and capacity building supports to the families on the Central Coast. Our clients often have global developmental conditions, ASD and related neurodevelopmental disabilities. Our clients attend local preschools and mainstream and support classes where we have strong partnerships with stakeholders, as well as being family centered. Services are provided both at the clinic and within the clients natural settings i.e. home, school & preschool.
Responsibilities include
- working within a transdisciplinary team to provide quality early intervention, addressing the individualised support needs of children up to age 16, diagnosed with a childhood disability.
- delivering individual intervention programs that lead to positive outcomes and are responsive to the needs of each individual, their family and relevant educational setting.
- working collaboratively with the team to ensure therapy and support goals and strategies are embedded within children's everyday routines and to support transition to mainstream settings.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders.
- Preparing and completing assessment, observation and progress reports as required by clients and the NDIS.

Skills and experience
- Be either AHPRA registered, Degree qualified in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent (e.g. Inclusive Education or Special Education).
- Studying post graduate qualifications in Inclusive Education highly regarded
- Motivated and willingness to learn and share skills and expertise
- Good time management, reliable and flexible, good problem solving skills
- Innovative teaching skills
- Creative and understanding of play based therapy
- Prior experience in working with kids with additional needs
- Working with Children Check and ability to obtain a NDIS Worker Check
- Own car and driver's licence.

- Strong sense of community and understanding of Inclusive Education practices
- Understanding of the NDIS and the role of Early Intervention
