We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Installer for our Façade Access Division. The role is to provide leadership and expertise for the successful and efficient turnkey installation of our BMU products throughout the Australian market. The lead installer is required to train, motivate, and lead the installation team to deliver through to final handover our products. The role will work closely with the respective Project Manager and Working Foreman, essentially driving respective site activities to ensuring we provide a safe, quality workmanship and a high-quality product to our clientele.

This role will report directly to the Working Foreman.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Projects:

  • Partake, and oversee onsite installation work on new and replacement BMU projects throughout NSW and potentially across Australia, including;

  • Lead and perform BMU installations, assemblies, wiring, commissioning, and testing.

  • Troubleshoot faults and ensure all equipment meets safety and certification standards.
  • Coordinate site activities to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues independently and address customer concerns professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in ongoing training.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to group OHS policy and general procedures; all complete all specific safe work procedures in accordance with instructions
  • Ensure Safety on the job is of the highest priority, raise an and all concerns to supervisor immediately
  • Assist with, and ensure all site works are governed by a mutually agreed SWMS, generally created by the Project Manager, however occasionally created by Working Foreman
  • Demonstrate commitment to health and safety through participation in formal and informal discussions, workplace audits and hazard inspections
  • Take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions
  • Adhere to customers site safety policies and procedures demonstrating the company's commitment to safety in our dealings / interactions

Operations:

  • Ensure sufficient Labor is maintained within the team to successfully deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Ensure all materials, Tools etc are made available for efficient works to be carried out
  • Ensure all installation tools are maintained and registered
  • Assist in installation estimates and forecasts for remining work to be completed
  • Provide good and transparent communication with our clientele on an as needed basis
  • Complete expense reports diligently and maintain record of all receipts
  • Complete all associated paperwork for record keeping
  • Support Sales Department on new project / tendering / estimating needs

Team Management

  • Actively participate in the recruitment process to satisfy business needs and demand
  • Provide daily updates to the Project manager(s) and keep customers informed.
  • Coordinate Support of Service Department if labour is in surplus
  • Training new operators that intend to use the equipment
  • Process team hours through Service Protocol on time
  • Lead and develop the install team to maintain competency and productivity

Qualifications & Competencies:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Construction industry induction (white card) preferred
  • Work safety at heights training (RIIWHS204D) preferred
  • 2-3 years of Experience working as an Install Supervisor or similar leading and supervising staff or subcontractors
  • Experience on commercial / industrial site or with cranes / EWPs or other access equipment

  • Sound knowledge or experience in the BMU industry or similar vertical transportation industry

  • Intermediate use of MS office skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, Team leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong customer focus and commercial awareness
  • Driver's license and Rights to work in Australia
