Are you a recent, or soon to be, Urban and Regional Planning (or related field) graduate? Are you looking to commence your career in Local Government? If so, we encourage you to apply for the 12-month position of Cadet Development Officer Planning with the City of West Torrens.

This role would suit someone looking to commence their urban planning career and would like to grow their urban planning skills learning from the experienced planning staff at the City of West Torrens.

As the Council's Cadet Development Officer Planning, you will provide development administration support, planning assessments and customer service for the community in order to contribute to desired development outcomes within the City of West Torrens.

If you have sound problem solving skills, possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills and have an ability to exercise judgement and initiative in applying established procedures and policies we want to hear from you.

Furthermore, you must meet the following essential qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning (or related field), or expecting to be completed within the next six months.
• White Card, or willingness to obtain.

Additionally, as part of the recruitment process, a National Police Clearance (within six months of issue) and Class C Driver's Licence will be necessary to meet the role's requirements.
