The Role

We are seeking a Senior Forensic Engineer to lead high-level investigations into complex building and infrastructure defects, while also mentoring a team of engineers and inspectors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead forensic inspections across residential, commercial, and infrastructure assets
  • Deliver high-quality technical reports referencing relevant Australian Standards and codes
  • Provide expert opinions for dispute resolution, insurance matters, and litigation
  • Guide and mentor junior and graduate engineers within a structured training program
  • Drive innovation and uphold best practice methodologies in diagnostic reporting

Qualifications & Memberships

  • Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligibility through Engineers Australia (EA)
  • Minimum 7–10 years' experience in forensic engineering, building diagnostics, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and technical standards
